Terms of service

Last updated 1 October 2026

Hindsight is provided by The Future of Hindsite ("we", "us"). When you use Hindsight, you are entering into an agreement with The Future of Hindsite. By continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.

The service

Hindsight scans social media posts you upload or paste and flags content that may be risky. Flags are produced by word lists and AI and may be wrong or incomplete. They are prompts to look, not advice or judgements. You decide what to do with your posts.

Your account

  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
  • Keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Hindsight, including by:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or to send spam;
  • uploading other people's data without the right to do so, or infringing anyone's intellectual property;
  • interfering with its security, spreading malware, probing, scraping or reverse engineering it;
  • reselling or redistributing the service, or getting round usage limits.

Your content

You keep ownership of your posts. You give us a limited permission to process them only to provide the service. Posts are read by an AI provider to produce results and are not stored unless you switch on "Save results".

Our intellectual property

We own Hindsight and its software, design, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under your plan.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Hindsight Pro costs £30 per month and renews monthly until cancelled. See our refund policy.

Availability and warranties

We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or catch every risky post. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.

Liability

We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost jobs, profits, data or reputation. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law doesn't allow it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don't pay, or create a security or fraud risk. If your account ends, any saved results are deleted.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction. We may update these terms and will show the new date above.
